Senior Steel & Stainless Steel Sourcing Specialist

Location:
Yiwu, Zhejiang (or open to remote/travel within China)

Experience Required:
Minimum 5 years in steel and stainless steel sourcing from Chinese suppliers

Job Responsibilities:
• Identify, evaluate, and manage reliable suppliers of steel and stainless steel products (e.g. coils, sheets, pipes, bars, fabricated parts)
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers
• Monitor market trends, quality standards, and raw material costs
• Coordinate with logistics and QC teams to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with customer requirements
• Maintain supplier database and sourcing reports
• Attend industry exhibitions and supplier visits across China when needed

Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in steel and stainless steel sourcing or procurement
• Strong understanding of Chinese steel markets and manufacturing capabilities
• Familiar with international trade practices, Incoterms, and export documentation
• Good negotiation and communication skills (Chinese and English)
• Proficient in Excel and sourcing tools

Preferred Traits:
• Experience working with international clients or trading companies
• Engineering or technical background is a plus
• Knowledge of quality inspection and mill test certificates (MTC)
